Kodak Announces New Digital Cameras

Three new EasyShare models are set to debut later this year, with price points ranging from $199 to $299.
Kodak today rolled out three new EasyShare digital cameras across several product families. This new models promise "compact design, simplicity and outstanding image quality".
In Kodak's C-series, the C643 ($249 — April release) and C553 ($199 — June release) were introduced. Kodak said the C643 sports 6.1-megapixel resolution, 3x optical zoom lens and 5x digital zoom, a 2.4'' LCD color display, 30 fps video (VGA) with audio capture, and a variety of on-camera picture-enhancing features. The more entry level C553 offers features such as 5.0-megapixel resolution, 3X optical zoom lens and 5X digital zoom, 1.8'' indoor/outdoor color display and on-camera cropping. Both can run off of AA batteries.
Kodak's other new EasyShare digital camera which joins their V-series is the V603 (black or silver for $299 — April release). This small, stylish camera has a 6-megapixel resolution and features a Schneider-Kreuznach C-Varigon 3X optical zoom lens, a 2.5" high-resolution display, in-camera picture enhancing features and 30 fps video capture.
