CERN Rap Is YouTube Hit

A hip-hop song and video explaining the Large Hardon Collider is a hit on YouTube, with over two million hits in two weeks.
Rap and physics don’t often go together. But a video of a rap song made by scientists of the Large Hedron Collider (LHC) project at CERN has proved to be a massive YouTube hit, pulling in 2.5 million hits in two weeks, Vnunet reports.
It was created by Alpinekat, actually Cern trainee Kate MacAlpine. She explained to Reuters:
"I did a science rap when I was working at the American Physical Society last summer, before coming to CERN. I wrote this on the bus on the way to and from work at CERN. Then we all got together to make the video. We all hoped it would help explain what's going on at CERN.”
At least she has some musical talent on which to draw - Professor Bran Cox, who works on the ATLAS section of the LHC, used to be the keyboard player in pop band D:Ream
