ViewSonic wants to get into your home office as well as your living room, with its 26-inch VA2626wm display offering full HD resolution.
ViewSonic might be best known for busting up the pricing wars on big-screen flat-panel displays, but the company also wants a space on the desktops of home and office users—and to that end the company has just introduced its 25.5-inch VA2626wm widescreen LCD display, with full HD 1,920 by 1,200 resolution, a fast 5 ms response time, and HDMI input.
"We are committed to continuously expanding our display offerings and aim to exceed customer expectations by adding premium features we know our customers demand," said ViewSonic's president of global brand and emerging technologies Jeff Volpe, in a statement. "ViewSonic further demonstrates its display leadership by offering innovative technology, versatile offerings and outstanding value."
The VA2626wm offers 350cd/m2 of brightness, an 800:1 contrast ratio (ViewSonic touts at 6,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio), a 170° viewing angle, and an antiglare screen surface. The display offers VGA, DVI-D, and HDMI inputs and packs two 2.5-Watt speakers.
The VA2626wm carries a suggested retail price of $695, but in true ViewSonic tradition, the display's street price should be about $529. And remember: 25.5 inches diagonal.
