The company combines traditional searches like Google and Yahoo with user-generated feedback.

The world of Internet search may have seemingly stalled in Google’s dominance of the game, but start-up company Earthfrisk  On Monday, the company launched its “meta-social hybrid search engine,” which combines results from multiple other engines and allows users to rank the best results. is attempting to further refine it by building on top of existing technologies.

The creators of the new search engine believe blending human opinion with standard search algorithms will mix the best of both worlds.  “For the first time we have believe we can offer a real alternative to the major search engines,” said Michael Lodispoto, managing member of Earthfrisk. “We offer far more value to those utilizing Internet search. The new interface allows even better spam filtering as millions of eyeballs commenting and voting can beat any algorithm of any company.”

The site harnesses search results from other popular search engines includes Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask. Users can comment on and rank each search entry individually, along with entering their own sites.
