TomTom Teams with Google Maps

Owners of TomTom GPS systems can now use Google Maps' "Send To" feature to transfer business addresses to their navigation systems.
GPS maker TomTom has announced a new partnership with Google Maps that enables users to transfer business addresses found using Google Maps to their navigation devices using Google Maps' "Send To" feature.
"The ability to search, find and send information from the web to a TomTom is something we have been investing in for some time now. We are pleased to work together with Google Maps on this personalization functionality," said TomTom's VP of product management Eric Pite, in a release. "This cooperation represents a major step for TomTom in meeting the growing demands of our customers for personalized content for their TomTom devices."
Google Maps users can simply search for business addresses as they normally would, then use the "Send to GPS" button to transfer the address information to their TomTom device when it's connected to the Internet using the free TomTom Home application (available for Windows and Macintosh).
TomTom says it is working with other third parties to expand personalization and integration options available to TomTom customers.
