March 20, 2006 | by Nino Marchetti
The Edge Tech Digital Picture Frame, which displays photos without need of a computer, bumps up a size with the release of a 7" model.
Edge Tech, a supplier of DRAM and flash memory upgrades, last week announced a larger screen size for their Digital Picture Frame product. This new screen size, 7", is priced at $149.95 and is available now. The Edge Tech Digital Picture Frame, said the company, operates by displaying digital photos from one of multiple flash memory card formats into a card slot in the frame. Pictures on the card are then displayed on the frame's LCD as a slideshow. The frame also comes with a credit card size remote for manual control. Other features of the Edge Tech Digital Picture Frame include a weight of 1.4 pounds, built-in MP3 player functionality with integrated speakers for playing music off of a flash memory card as photos display, S-Video output and power provided by an external AC adapter.
