Sony Updates W-Series Cyber-shots

The new eight-megapixel DSC-W100 and seven megapixel DSC-W70 will both be available in April.
Sony over the weekend rolled out two new Cyber-shot W-series digital still cameras. The $349.95 DSC-W100 and $299.95 DSC-W70 will both be available in April and come in black and silver colors.
The eight-megapixel DSC-W100 and seven-megapixel DSC-W70, said Sony, have an "updated traditional camera style" with eye-level viewfinders and 2.5" LCD screens. Features on these two models include a Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x optical zoom lens, MPEG-1 video recording, high-light sensitivity settings, a mode dial to switch between photo, video and preview, an on-screen function guide to better understand how to use certain features and a multi-point, auto-focus system.
"Our W-series feature intelligent functions that work behind the scenes, said James Neal, director of digital imaging products at Sony Electronics, in a statement. "Users can focus on those moments of inspiration that make great photographs without the hassle of worrying about camera settings."
