The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter is designed with the company's Series2 DVRs in mind.
It looks as if TiVo has rolled out their own wireless adapter to tie their Series2 DVRs into a home network. The new TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter is available now for $49.99. The TiVo Wireless G USB Network Adapter, as first reported over at the tech blog Zatz Not Funny, allows a TiVo Series2 DVR to wirelessly connect to a 802.11g or 802.11b network through its USB port. The adapter is not unlike third party units already for sale through TiVo's website, though it can be assumed there is a higher degree of compatibility and functionality since TiVo's device was designed specifically with the company's DVRs in mind. Besides the "optimized wireless performance", the adapter features a real brushed metal base and a flip up antenna with the TiVo character logo on it. The adapter is not designed for use with a PC or Mac.
