Shure Targets Gamers with Earphones

New E Series Sound Isolating Earphones: Gaming Edition are targeted towards gamers willing to lay down cash for a high end, portable audio gaming experience.
Shure Incorporated, the company responsible for the E series line of well regarded noise isolating earphones for consumer use, on Friday announced a new edition to the product family. Available this month will be the E Series Sound Isolating Earphones: Gaming Edition. The Gaming edition earphones, Shure said, will use the same sound isolating technology as the rest of the E series to provide what the company calls "the true audio elements of any game". The earphones will come in multiple models and are styled to compliment portable devices like the Sony PSP. They feature studio-quality components and comfortable sound isolating sleeves that contour to the inner-ear, naturally sealing out background noise. "While the gaming industry has progressed rapidly in the creation of exceptional soundtracks, much of the experience is lost on consumers who lack high quality accessories to hear the phenomenal audio detail," said Steve Doering, portfolio director for Shure's Personal Audio Business Unit. "Looking at our success attaching to the iPod, equipping gamers with the right audio accessories seemed like a natural evolution for us. There's no other company better suited to answer gamers' calls for impeccable sound performance and detail."
